V for Vendetta – Movie Review

V for Vendetta is probably one of the best movies so far this year… The futuristic sci-fi thriller tells the story of a totalitarian Britain set way into the future. Changes in the political scenario shows a fragile America and a powerful Britain. The movie shows the ultimate fight against corruption and for freedom.

V brilliantly played by Hugo Weaving(U actually never get to see his face in the movie) and Natalie Portman who plays Evey to perfection hold the whole film together and the final product is awe inspiring. The Wachowski Brothers had written the screenplay for this film before The Matrix and there are clear similarities between the action sequences of both movies.

Indian Soaps…

I happened to catch an episode of a regional soap while I was eating dinner… I don’t usually watch soaps while I eat but today I just sat and decided to play along.

The char in the soap looked villanous and once they look villanous they almost certainly are the negative lead in the show… she had a gun to her hand and fired trice (or 4 times) and the next scene you hv another char collapsing to the ground with her hand clenched to her stomach… The weird thing was she had only one gun shot on her… I started hysterically laughing, I mean she must hv been a classic shot to hit the same spot trice… My dad watching this added ya this is how they get all the shooting gold in the commonwealth games. I was laughing so hard I could hardly eat.

The thing got better by the minute… The next sequence showed the culprit absconding and the female who was shot

The last 2 days have been one of the most exciting in my life… 35 of us mostly strangers to each other took part in the Sakleshpur Yedakumeri Trek which was physically and mentally demanding on all of us… Some took a detour half way(including me) and some braved the entire journey but all in all we had the time of our lives and not to mention the bonding and coming together to help each other…

Exorcising My Demons…

I saw an old friend yesterday… Not seen her in like 8 months and all of a sudden she was walking past me… I was so surprised to see her that I was finishing a call and just stood there. I’m sure she saw me and she knew that I saw her but she just went past.

Things didn’t end on a right footing the last time we spoke and I never called her again or tried to reach her, save one email saying “happy birthday” a few months ago. The last mutual interaction made it clear to me that she was angry with me and I wont divulge into the reasons.

Its weird how you see someone from your past and almost every conversation you had with them happens again in ur mind… you then remember your best and worst moments and relive those old days again…
