Two Events…

wm22_card.jpg

I was a wrestling fan long time back… back when Entertainment was actually a Federation :P but every year there are 2 events on the wrestling calender that I never miss… The Royal Rumble and the other was aired today. The single most important night in wrestling calender… Wrestle Mania.

So why do I still watch em even after I hv gotten over the tv show… Its the god damn quality of the two shows.

Frankly I doubt many hv reached until this line coz most ppl I know hate wrestling and probably think its the kid in me taking :P (maybe it is…) So where was I, yep quality… hmmmm, its just that its a very important night and its the rejuvenation of wrestling that carrys it for another year. The matches just grip you and even though you know its all fixed(its “Entertainment” for god sake) and its amazing how the whole thing works…

Its a Matter of Time!

“We are Indians… We are expected to be late”, “Its IST Indian Stretchable Timings”, “I thought you are going to be late too…” People those excuses are pathetic and nothing angers me more than a person who is late and never shows a bit of remorse about it.

Last weekend I had a bad experience with ppl being punctual… The incident left me really depressed and partially hurt…

Lost in the magic of Lost…

I had once earlier mentioned Lost in my blog. And after almost 5 months the thrill of watching a new episode of Lost is still the same. The show is simply the best ever show made for television. If you managed to catch season 1 and are waiting for season 2 trust me its worth the wait… (Dont Worry no spoilers in this post :) )

I just finished watching Episode 16 of the second season of Lost… I have been lucky to get the torrents online and its amazing to watch the same episode that American audiences watch the same week. I hv got the entire 1st and 2nd season(till the latest episode aired in US) on DVD(a collectors item :) for sure ).

So what is so good about lost that its worth blogging about…

Chapter Two…

chapter two

We had decided to catch this play yesterday at Rangashankara and considering I always saw plays on weekdays I was not prepared for the rush that happens on sundays… Swetha and I arrived to the theater about an hour before the play and realized that we had very little chances of getting the tickets. They were only giving tickets to ppl who had booked earlier and we put down our name in the waiting list in case someone cancelled or did not show up… About 30 min later we waited in bated breath for our name to be called, many had not showed up to collect their tickets. We were one of the last to get the tickets and boy was the tension worth it :P.

The play was arguably one of the best plays I hv ever seen. “Chapter Two” was produced by Evam and is the story of Two people one a recent widower and the other a recent divorcee who find love “again”.

The brilliance of the play was not just the acting which was flawless(so good it attracted a standing ovation after the performance) it was the innovation and the magic they created… There were parts where they used a member carefully placed in the audience to shot timelines(things like “2 weeks later” etc.). The sudden darkness on the stage and the spotlight switching to the member in the audience was clearly applauded.
