Applibase decided to take a day off from work to relax and strech their legs. The destination Club Cabana on the outskirts of Bangalore.

We started at around 10 am about half an hour later than we planned. The ride to the resort was pretty uneventful except for that small traffic jam near Yehalanka (in front of a police station that too, must have been trouble). We were pretty unsure of the route (to put it lightly) but we caught up with one of the Club Cabana Buses and simply followed it to the destination.

The first impression of the place was its huge. The serene surroundings of the place was perfect for relaxing, the gardens extended till the eyes could see and the swimming pools looked really inviting.

Change..

Recently I have been bogged down with everyone saying “(s)he has changed so much”. They were mostly refering to my friends after college. The statement directed definatily towards how “Busy” my pals have gotten.

Indian Software Industry – Simply Unfair

A couple of my friends recently joined Wipro. They had been waiting to join since June and had been recruited in Aug 2004. The surprise that awaited them has left them feeling cheated and heartbroken.

The high amount of intake into Wipro this year has forced them to take their new employees in batches. The batches constitute of about 40 students each and the batch undergoes the entire training together.

All Wipro Employees are required to come a couple of days before their date of joining(mostly on the thu/fri before the joining date) to fill the forms for the Bank statements and the bond.
After filling the forms it was pointed out to them that the entire batch constitued Electronics and Telecommunication students… The person who was making the announcement went on to explain that since most EC and TC students are not “comfortable” with Software development they would temporarily be put in a “Tech Support” field.

What a racket?

Theju: “Excuse me… Excuse me”
The Man inside the house:(Slowly coming out) “Yes”
Theju: “Our Batminton Racket is on top of the tree… Can we take it” (his voice slowly went down towards the end of the sentence)
(I was standing next to him and could not hold my laughter)
Man: “What???”
Theju: (now a little louder and I think he was also laughing) “Our Batminton Racket is on top of that tree… Can we take it”
Man:(Puzzeled) “How did it get there?”

A few mins later we were laughing our brains out… This is what had happened before:
