What is your greatest fear?

I was 19 when that question was stuck in my head. Looking at in plainly it didn’t seem like a hard to answer. For some people it is death, for some it is insects and for some public speaking (that always reminds me of this Seinfeld Quote)… But what was the greatest fear for anyone. Ofcourse everybody didn’t have exactly one thing/event/whatever that scared them the most, it varied from person to person. I was hell bent on discovering the common thread that held them all together. Eventually I did find the answer.

Talking about “Her”

Ever since I started writing the “Conversations with Her”, there has been a lot of interest in my blog. For the first few weeks everyone who followed my blog and met me(or commented on my blog) asked about who she was. To be absolutely honest, I am yet to reveal to anybody the identity of the muse of those posts.

Sabha Parva

The second volume of Mahābhārata is probably the most important of all its volumes. It covers all the actions and inaction that lead eventually to get great war at Kurukshetra. The volume is much shorter than the first(almost half in length) and covers the story from the building of great “Maya Sabha” till the banishment of the Pandavas to exile.

Krishna becomes a major part of the story in this volume. The prince of Dwarka exhibits his amazing understanding of politics and sense of manipulation to great effect in this volume. It is amazing how often the term “fate” appears in the ancient text. The idea that all these great people knew their destiny and walked the path of Dharma or Adharma depending on the role they played is simply beautiful.

Down that Memory Lane…

Lately I have been dedicating time to clean up my room, to the delight of my mother. Considering I have a lot of crap unused stuff stored away, I thought its the right time to minimize and put away things I dont use regularly to a proper storage.
