Into The Wild – Movie Review

[rating:4.5]

There are few movies that leave a deep mark on your personality. Movies that introduce ideas and thoughts that would other wise have escaped your busy mind. They have a deeper impact when you realize that they were nor fictional. Into the Wild is one such movie.

Co-Written and Directed by Sean Penn, the movie is about the life of a boy who graduates as a top student and decides to abandon his possessions to go and live in the wilderness of Alaska. The people he meets along the way in this journey define and shape his life.

The movie is a story of enlightenment of sorts. Of how the world is made to appear to us because of the society we live in and what it truly is.

The background score and the music is what truly captures you as you embark in this journey with the protagonist. The music of the Guitar is simply hauntingly beautiful.

The acting is of top quality and some scenes simply move you to the point of breaking down. What truly touched me was the honesty of the protagnist’s smile. There are moments in acting when you are forced to put pressure on your cheek muscles to fake a smile… his smile right through the movie was so honest it was brilliant! It shows the dedication of the actor to the character and the story.

This movie is an important movie not to miss. Dont expect jazzed entertainment, this movie was made for alternative motives.
