Suck Out The Marrow Of Life…

We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.

I went into the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life… to put to rout all that was not life; and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
-Henry David Thoreau

“Live deliberately” are the key words for me…

I watched Dead Poet’s Society a few days back and all I felt after watching it was I wish I had watched this movie when I was studying… It has in some way rekindled my love for poetry(some might ask if the love had actually decreased). A part of me feels like picking up that pen and scribbling lines again…

Poetry, Beauty, Romance, Love… These are what we stay alive for…
