Here is my first attempt at making a time lapse video. The video was made from the Tech Rehearsal of “Just Let Them…” a play by Misf!t – Ratan Thakore Grant’s Studio for Acting.

I always wanted to make a time lapse video in the 8 odd months I have owned my D7000. Actually this was one of the projects I was planning to undertake once I got my first DSLR. Oddly it was easier than expected, I think that has got mostly to do with the brilliant stage design and wonderful lighting.

The video took over 1200 photos to make, each taken 1 second after the previous. The video was created using Mencoder.

Just Let Them… a new original play was written and executed by the cast, on Aug 12 2011, at K H Kala Soudha. Directed by Krishnan Suresh and Co-Directed by Vishal Nair with Venkatesan Vaidyanathan as the Executive Consultant. The play received an overwhelmingly wonderful response.
