Had one of the best Diwali’s of my life yesterday, yet I did not burn a single cracker.

My plan for the day in the morning was well laid out: Go to bowling for a couple of hours, then head home catch lunch and probably catch a flick in the evening. The first part was the only part that went according to plan.

Arpit, Shabri and Swetha joined me at Ameoba and we had a helluva time playing 2 rounds of knocking the 10 pins down. I had an average day wrt bowling had scores of 86 and 92 both enuf to win against the 3 of em but nowhere close to my best(148)… that 150 is still elusive I guess.

My pals called up and informed me that they had dropped the movie plans for the evening. I was supposed to go to “Jogi” a kannada film in the evening and they were the only 2 that agreed to accompany me. Suddenly my entire day became free…

We grabbed lunch at Rice Bowl and I for the first time in my life tasted alcohol. I took a sip of vodka from my friends drink. It does not taste great but it kindof burns your throat… which is the good part i guess. It took me like 10 mins of staring at the drink to take the sip and dont know if it was the guilty feeling later but I could not eat a bite of my food. My head was banging and I did not like it one bit. Last time I go near an alcoholic drink.

Then we went to Nike and picked up the LiveStrong wristbands read about it here.

We then decided to go to Coffee Day and drink a little coffee and chat for sometime. It turns out yesterday was “Kannada Rajothsava” the independence day of Karnataka, I guess. There was only kannada music in coffee day and we were bugged.

Purvang joined us and We decided to play a game of “I have never”. Ok if you dont know its rules its very simple:
* Everyone has to start a sentence by “I have never” eg. I have never driven a car
* The ones who have done the “thing” in this case driven a car, take a sip of their drink
* This goes on as long as you want and is totally based on honesty
* And If the person(who said the statement ) is lying about it, ie he has driven a car, he takes a sip of his drink after everyone.

Its like truth and dare but here its group oriented rather than a question asked to one indivisual.

Trust me I had no idea how big a hit it was going to be. We sat there for 3 hours playing the game… some of us ran out of drinks and started eating sugar as a sign(:) me included). I came to know a lot about my friends and it was spectacular.

Frankly if you want to play this game, play it with someone you know pretty well… coz you will find out stuff about eachother you wont normally be ready to part with.

I headed home for the evening and spent an hour on the roof as my routine during diwali enjoying the firecrackers.

Everything was so special on this day :).
