I watched The Bucket List a couple of days ago. I thought the movie was enjoyable and had loads of important messages. One particular conversation that caught my attention was when Carter mentions the two questions that Egyptians believed would be asked before entry to heaven. The two questions where

Conversations With Her – Quarter Life…

Her: Off late most of my friends are going thru what they call a quarter life crisis.
Me: Hmmm… I didnt know there was something like a quarter life crisis. I hv heard about a half life crisis… but…
Her: Well thats what they call it. Thats what they “all” call it.
Me: Hmmm
Her: You know, It would be a lie if I told you that I didnt think of the things they thought or didnt feel what they think they are experiencing. But you know calling it a crisis is probably a bit too much.

The Old Man And The Mountain

The flakes of snow was all over his face, concentrated on his facial hair. He stopped for a moment to wipe a layer of ice off his forehead and stared at the fog of ice at the distance. His face was the only part of his body exposed to the numbing cold… he had once told a porter “Pain is important my boy… Its the most true feeling of being alive”.

People had called him insane, some had laughed at him, some pitied him. The mountain was a murderer, the old people of the village at tried to convince him. The truth was that only a few had returned from it and a even fewer remained sane enough to narrate the experience. No one had ever returned from the peak.

The Rickshaw Driver…

I am not the talking kind of rickshaw passenger, but if the driver initiates a conversation and I am not already busy with something I am always game for a little chit-chat. Yesterday I apparently hired a rickshaw with a very chatty driver. I have offlate become increasingly comfortable talking to strangers but nothing could have prepared me for this particular guy.
