Star Sports was telecasting the highlights of the 2001 Wimbeldon Final earlier today. The classic clash happened between Goran Ivanisivic and Partic Rafter. It was 4th time lucky for Goran, who lost once to Andre Agassi (in 1992) and twice to Pete Sampras (in 1994 and 1998).

I started watching tennis over decade ago and almost ever since had been a fan of the stylish left handed player. I was glued to the televison for every one of his Wimbeldon finals and always loved his interviews.

I dont know how many ppl know this, Goran when he started playing tennis professionally did not know english. He learnt it for interviews and anyone who has seen his interview will agree with me that he is probably the best speakers of the language they have heard.

Every time I think Im Out… They pull me back in

After a long gap Im finally back to watching cricket again. Call it the Dhoni effect or just the fact that Indian cricket team is finally winning consistently. But cricket is not just it… frankly im watching a lot more stuff I used to watch religiously.

I can remember the match fixing scandal which took a huge bite out of my love for cricket. Then India went to the finals of the world cup and came out second best. Ever since then they have not been performing the best and frankly I went thru most days not knowing there was a match.

So what changed it all… one man Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

LOST… First Impression…

First impressions dont get any better. I have been waiting for some time now to talk about 2 awe inspiring shows “Desperate Housewives” and “Lost”.

One show is a slice of suburbian life and the other… well survivor comes to mind. The one common thing betweent the two is success. They are worldwide hits and why not they have brilliant screenplay and accurate acting to their credits.
