Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince – Review

Rating: *****
(Lowest: * Highest: *****)

The Sixth and the Penultimate book of the Harry Potter Series sets up the perfect battle between good and evil. The 600 odd paged book is by far the best of the series. The book provides the immaculate mixture of action, drama, romance and thrill. The book is by far the darkest of the six but the magic of humor and romance ligthtens the scenarios and brings a smile to the face.

Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts amid the dark clouds of the Rise of the Dark Lord above them. The OWLs are over and there is a new Defence Of The Dark Arts teacher. This year for Harry its all about building up his defences for his final face off against Lord Voldermort.

In Case you have not read the book. Skip the spoilers.

Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix – Book Review

Rating: ****
(Lowest: * Highest: *****)

The Wizarding world moves into darker times with the 5th book in the Harry Potter Series. JK Rowling’s amazing ability to keep you at the edge of your seat makes The Order of the Phoenix a must read.

The book reveals the ideas of Voldemort and introduces a few more characters who will definately be important towards the end of the series. The book also shows part of the angrier side of Harry as he is angry with almost everyone.

The Umbridge char in this book is the char that I have loathed the most in the 5 books. Snape continues to be my favourite char and Fred n Gorge the funniest. Dumbledore meets the Dark Lord for the first time

One Night @ The Call Center – A Review

ON@TCC
Rating: **
(Lowest: * Highest: *****)

Chetan Bhagat does it again. A simple novel about India and most importantly Indians. Sadly the similarity with his first novel ends there. This book is slow and definately not the “cannot keep it down” type. To be fair to Chetan the book is good and does tell a good story, A story worth reading and probably even learning something from. Frankly I was willing to give this book a *** rating but the last page of the Epilogue cost the book a * and made me fell like throwing the book out a window.

I have marked a section of this review as SPOILERS… if you want to read this book desperately just skip that part…

The story is about 6 people who work at the call center, set in one night. The catch is they get a call. (I know ur going wtf dont call centers get calls all the time). Well this one was from God..
