There are a few movies that live up to the first of a series and fewer that are better than the first. Dead Man’s Chest is one of the latter kind.
Captian Jack Sparrow is back and he is back with a bang(or two)… he is still the captain of The Black Pearl but currently he has a few pressing problems. You see Jack had made a deal with Davey Jones and now Davey Jones is coming to collect his end of the bargain which involves Jack being a little dead. Jack to save his skin convinces Will and Elizabeth to try and help him acquire the Dead Man’s Chest whose contents will help him escape the deadly doom ahead of him.
Johnny Depp is brilliant as Jack Sparrow, I felt he deserved an oscar for the first Pirates of the Caribbean but he had to make do with just a nomination, I doubt this performance will get him one but I expect him to get one very soon if he can keep up the performances. Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley return to their roles and are spell binding on the screen. The visual effects are just magical, if you loved the first movie for its brilliant effects you will be tied to your seat for this one.
The thing that makes this movie spectacular is the comedy. The movie is just hilarious form the word go and does not let up until the last scene. The physical comedy is very good but the verbal comedy is the heart of the movie.

Final verdict this movie is the best movie I hv seen in a theater ever… Save a few ppl who complained about the grossness (you might lose an appetite for sea food :P) there were not much negativity around. So grab your popcorn and let your back rest as you enter the worlds of pirates and treasures, for my friend its going to be a while till the next one comes out :P
