Ishqiya was one of my favorite movies of 2010. The movie’s soundtrack is one of the best of the year and this song in it, has to be my favorite.

Gulzar saab in this song talks about how a lover perceives time after losing the beloved forever. The concept that suffering is described as a lack of waiting is simply amazing.

This slow haunting song absolutely resonates with the heart. The pain of losing someone close to you is so beautifully described that it draws tears to the eyes.
