A couple of weeks back I started learning the Violin. Learning a musical instruments was one of the things I was looking forward to doing for almost two years now and I finally decided to take up the challenge :)

The choice was pretty straightforward… There were only two instruments I was very keen to learn, the flute and the violin. Both instruments have always been extremely close to my heart and listening to them always sent me into a trace.

Between the two, I chose the latter coz I had never held a Violin, that and coz I believe that I have a poor lung capacity for a wind instrument… Actually that should have driven me towards the flute(the lure of the bigger challenge) but the romantic inside me had other plans :)

So far the learning experience has been simply amazing. I have been literally stealing time from my daily work to hold my violin for a little while and when the high pitched (incoherent) music fills the room, I find an amazing drive of enthusiasm :)
