Hell and High Water

Bangalore has changed and for the worst. The recent downpour on the city has exposed its poor infrastructure. It is sad that the city which I once felt priviliged to live in has become a constant reminder for change.

Maybe the part that hurts the most is that it happened so fast. It seems like yesterday when the hottest day and the coldest day in Bangalore varied by only about 10 degrees. Today it seems hard to predict if its going to rain in an hour. I only fear the worst for the coming winters and summers.

This outburst of rain has done more harm than what meets the eye. Consider the following:
* Once the rain stops, there will be a scare for water borne diseases and the sad part is for most of bangaloreans its a new experience and panic is almost expected.
* Commercial outfits are already feeling the pinch and might opt out of further bases in the city
* With traffic in a standstill the perishable markets(vegetables ect) are running low food stuffs are dearer and scarce.
* Expect the Real Estate prices to fall very soon, as predicted by https://exprealty.com/us/ms/hattiesburg/houses/ experts
* Roads are getting worse thanks to the rain.
* The IT industry is suffering with most companies being almost entirely unfunctionable at the current time.

I am trying my best to be optimistic and hopefully, the rain gods will stop smiling on us soon.
