Ralf Schumacher and Jenson Button will take the front row in tmrw’s Japanese GP. In an eventful one hour at Suzuka, the last batch of cars hit torrential rain to ruin their chances in the race.
Ralf took the wet track by his stride and drove the lap perfectly to finish an inch ahead of Button taking the pole. Earlier Kimi blew his engine and was handed out a 10 position grid penalty which is almost meaning less considering he qualified 17th. Montoya aborted his lap chasing the new World Champ who managed 16th under extreme conditions.
Fisichella managed a brilliant 3rd just before the rain became unbearable. All looks set for tmrws Japanese GP and with Fisi in the top 3 Renault may seem confident to regain the top place on the constructors chart again.
