Gangtok Revisited…

The first stop in my recent trip to Sikkim was the beautiful city of Gangtok. I have visited this city once before and have to say its easily one of the best cities I have seen in India .

As we entered Gangtok, the sun had already set and that gave us a wonderful view of the city lights.

The next day we woke up to a beautiful day and headed out for our first day of sightseeing.

Our first stop was the recently built Ranka Monastery. I love visiting Monasteries, there is always a spirutual feel that the serene places have. On a lush green backdrop the monastery was simply beautiful.

We even got play around for a few minutes with a kitten at the Monastery

The next stop was an Energy park that had a beautiful waterfall and some exquisite flowers.

We then headed to the Flower show in the city.

The next step in the journey was the visit to North Sikkim. More on that in the next part :)
