Johnny Depp brialliance and Tim Burtons class brings back Ronald Dahl imagination back to life. I have not had the pleasure of watching the earlier film but this one left me spellbound. Everything from the river of Chocolate to the transparant lift was beautifully depicted.
Charlie is a boy intregued by the story of Willy Wodka and his chocolate factory. His grandpa tells him stories about the rise, fall and rise of the Chocolate factory. The blue eyed boy is left hoping to someday meet Willy Wodka and better yet get a peek into the factory.
As luck turns out WW announces a contest and the winners who get the golden ticket from the chocolate bar would get a free trip into the factory guided by WW himself. With only five such tickets available the young boy watches as four other kids get the tickets.
A lucky break credits him some money with which he picks out the chocolate which gets him a tour of the factory. The rest of the movie is beyond words. With awesome picturesque settings and clever dialouges the movie is entertaining all thru.
Johnny Depp shows why he was nominated for the oscars once before. His quality of acting has definately reached the Al Pacino Tom Hanks Sean Penn level and will definately win one of those acadamy awards soon :).
