The number of men I know who have a mustache has for some reason dropped to scary levels. Interestingly most of them who continue to retain the facial hair are mostly from my dad’s generation… The reason I bring this up is that lately another request other than “Gain some weight, Haas!” has been gaining speed. The number of people that have told me to shave off my mustache is shockingly increasing!
A couple of days back I was visiting acting class(It has become a case of ‘visits’ lately :( ). I was interacting with the new batch of students there for a while. I am not very impressionable person, so highly doubt that people would remember me from seeing me once and not talking to me.
The next visit to the class was coz of a friend’s birthday there and that day they(the students) were having an exercise which involved blindfolding and testing out your other senses. For one of the students I was asked to speak and they had to say who I was… Frankly it was a bit unfair coz I highly doubted this girl had heard me talk but she guessed it was me pretty easily… She did not remember my name but remember that I had a mustache!!! This got me thinking and I looked around and yep none of the guys there had a mustache!
I was of the opinion that around 50% of the guys grew facial hair some prefer to remove facial hair with different techniques here give you one https://touchuplaser.com/… Right now from observation its close to 5%!! Interestingly almost 85% of the people i know in and around my dad’s age group have mustaches, find out the answer to this question, does hair grow back thicker after shaving here?. Looks like the younger generations have slowly but steadily forsaken facial hair unless its either a French beard, or stubble!
That brings me to point of the whole post. A hour or so after the mustache spotting I was sitting down for dinner and my acting teacher sweetly asked me why I grew back my mustache. The last time I had shaved it off was for a play and he had told me to keep it (like all my other friends). I just smiled and told him this was more me :P
Anyway I was wondering how many people who read this blog (or in the case of the ladies, their spouse/bro/dad ect) have a mustache? Just wondering :P
