A couple of days back I had been out with a few old friends of mine… I had to leave early but fortunately or unfortunately the conversation was so engaging that the next few hours just flew by… Thats when I realized that good conversations are hard to come by… Actually I could not vividly remember the last time I was so hooked :P
So here are the top 5 topics that can tie me to my seat…
These topics are very inter-related depending on the context… Maybe thats why I enjoy them
Relationships: Its brilliant what you can learn from other’s experience. Its not the usual “what do girls like in boys or vice versa” discussion, but a more solid understanding of all forms or relationships… Like for example one of the things we discussed that evening was PostNatal Depression… Throw in sex and behavior based on or related to the act and you have the makings of an engrossing discussion!
Psychology: I think this was the one subject I should have studied :P I totally love the study of mind and behavior… And when it comes to discussions its not just someone talking about some research they heard of but relating to that understanding of the research.
Formula One: It would be highly dishonest of me if I missed this topic… So here it is :)
Religion: The understanding of cultures has been a very dear topic to me… It doesnt matter what religion it is but the concepts and its origin that really attract my attention. Most people would probably shun away from these topics(they tend to get serious and end up mostly with introspection) but I am totally game if someone wants to talk about it :P
Evolution: Evolution has become a recent favorite subject of mine. Its just not the evolution of humans/animals that interest me but evolution of cultures, relationships, theories… Just about anything.
Anyway, you dont need to use the above to strike a conversation with me(ie if I havent scared you off already)… I have been known to switch from making faces to discussing Global Warming in 30s!
