Flight Plan… A Review

Jodie Foster stars in yet another thriller but this time its 40k high up in the air. The movie oozes of quality right from the start. The excellence of the screenplay can only be understood after the first 5 min. Jodie Foster does more than justice to the role and executes it with absolute brilliance.

Kyle Pratt (Jodie Foster) climbs a flight along with her daughter at Berlin heading for New York. Their cargo includes a coffin containing her recently deceased husband. Every thing seems to be happening too fast for the blue eyed blonde as they climb aboard one of the biggest airplanes of our time.

After the plane takes off she decides to take a short nap. When she wakes up she realizes her daughter is missing. Whats more nobody admits to her being on the plane. As the thriller unfolds every passenger is checked… and everybody becomes a suspect.

The movie is very well organized and the sound effects at the start are excellent. It stands up to the thriller genre keeping us on the edge of the seats all the way.

The varied ensemble of actors and their thoughts for example the fight between the Arab and the American are well done. The stewardesses and the captain give strong performances complementing the story.

Its definitely a movie to catch and if you love planes this movie gives a good look at the internal workings of the plane. So go ahead and book tickets for the weekend and take a thrill ride with FlightPlan.
