New Sense

Kimi might have to finally pay for Suzuka Engine change

It seemed like Kimi finally was getting some good luck last race at Suzuka. Despite his engine change he managed to start the race at the exact same position he had qualified in(17). But has its been for the Finn all this season… old demons might haunt him in China.

The engine change in Japan means that he along with Montoya will have to use their same engines this weekend, while the Renaults pick up a brand new E spec engine.

How much does that matter?

For starters Mc Laren have to make this engine survive 2 races if they want a good shot at the constructors championship. To add to the mix, the new Renault engine has parts that were rejected earlier only coz they could survive 700 Km eazily and choke while doing 1400 Km(2 race weekends). This one of the reasons of the super reliability of the Renaults. This new engine has those parts which make it similar to a one race engine which is obviously better than a 2 race engine(for the last race).

What remains to be seen is if the Renaults can seize this opportunity and stay within 2 points of the Black and Silver cars.
