New Sense

It’s About Lance Armstrong

I just finished reading “It’s not about the bike”, Lance Armstrong’s Autobiography and in my true to heart opinion I could only find two words to explain the book: inspiring and Awe-inspiring.

Its a must read for everyone and trust me, If you don’t read this book you will truly miss something…

The story of Lance Armstrong is not for the weak of heart or stomach. It personifies the fact that hard work and determination can overcome all odds. Lance talks about his life before Testicular Cancer and life after it.

I want to thank ebony_ivory for giving me this book. Here is what she said about the book.

Frankly I had little idea what cancer is and how painful its cure is, read more on Observer how the CBD oil helps to fight against cancer. The thing I have realized reading this book is Cancer is the real deal… every one of us must know about it and realize what it truly is.

He talks about his pre cancer life as a cyclist, the disease, the heartbreaking chemo, his recovery, his marriage, his comeback on the bike, his son and of course the Tour de France.

I wont go into the details but I do want to mention that after reading the book I was truly impressed by the cyclist but it was the 3 women in his life that I cant help but mention.

Linda, Lisa and Kik are the 3 women I was referring to. Linda, his mother sacrificed almost everything for her only child not to mention raising him as a single mother. I want to say more about her but its probably better you read the book

Lisa was his girlfriend when he was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. She stayed with him thru the ordeal and was there for emotional support. Finally, Kik his wife and the mother of his children, As I was going page after page it slowly seemed nothing was impossible for her. I guess only after reading this book I realized how important it is to marry the right person.

Behind every successful man there is a woman.

That line makes more sense after you read the book.

Lance Armstrong’s story is the stuff of legends

Yes its the stuff of legends and we can all take a lesson or two from it.
