I decided to give Panoramio a try a few weeks ago. For people who dont know, Parnoramio is the web photo service that puts photos on Google Earth. Considering I was geotagging photos from my trips, I thought it would help out people by allowing them to access them thru Google Earth.
Anyway I uploaded a bunch of photos to Panoramio and was disheartened to find that the photos did not show up on Google Earth. Apparently the geotagging is not enough and its only when the photos are ‘accepted’ to be displayed in GE, that they would show up there.
When I checked the site today to upload one more photo(above) there, I realized that all my photos were accepted :) You can find them on Google Earth (try searching for “Belwadi, Karnataka, India” I seem to be the only one with photos of the Vishnu temple there :) ).
