The lake house is a beautiful romantic movie about the conversations between two residents of a Lake house. The plot circles around a lonely doctor who once occupied an unusual lakeside home and her exchange of love letters with its former resident, a frustrated architect. The protagonists must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it’s too late.
A lot of people recommended the movie to me, but it somehow got lost in my to-watch list. When
The movie I felt had a ton of loop holes and unexplained liberties which left a huge hole in the screenplay. Some small flaws could have been fixed quiet easily but they have remained and leave you thinking at the end. The narrating style was pretty impressive and I loved how the movie flowed.
What I enjoyed most were the parallels this movie drew. The kind of love and relationship between the characters of the movie is almost impossible to explain yet its very strong and beautiful. The scene with the conversation at the steps on Kate’s birthday was simply beautiful. It totally had me gripped. The entire concept of that scene had me at awe.
The ending was one part I didnt enjoy very much. I was quite taken by the concept and will watch the original movie as recommended :)
All in all the movie was fun and I enjoyed watching it (despite all the flaws). And yeah its for romantic fools :)
