Hanging On…

Flower and the drop

Rain, Flowers and Macro are possibly my most favorite combinations when it comes to photography. This photograph was taken during a brief rain shower at a famous tourist spot in Kodagu(Coorg) called “Raja’s Seat“.

This was my third visit to the destination also known as ‘the Scotland of India’ and by far the most rainiest of my visits… Kodagu has a very different feel when visited in different seasons and while the rain meant a little discomfort, it also provided some picturesque moments and a lot of tranquility.

Smile…

Smile

I’ve never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful. ~Author Unknown

I have an unexplainable connection with Buddhist Monasteries, during my travels I have consistently found peace and solace in the heart of these holy walls. This photo was taken during my first ever visit to a Buddhist Monastery. The monk with the prayer beads and the disarming smile was an obvious choice for the portrait.

Shell..

Shell

She realized very soon that the business model of the sale of sea shells so close to the sea was actually not very smart.
Unfortunately for her, this was one story that was going to be repeated over and over again…

This picture taken at Muzhappilangad beach around a year ago… Another one of my favorite macro shots :)

In Search Of The Mango…

In Search Of The Mango...

As the sun was setting over the beautiful hills of Hampi, this monkey along with its troop of fellow monkeys sat and waited for tourists to throw them a snack.

This picture was taken on one of the highest points near the main complex of Hampi.

Ps: The title is inspired by mythological story… any guesses to which one?

Beautiful Hampi…

Sunset Skies

Here are a few of the photos I took during my new year trip to Hampi. The true beauty of the place can never be entirely captured in pictures… The only way to truly appreciate the brilliance of the place is to see it in person.
