The Mask…

The Mask

She is the first one to greet you,
when you walk into my house.
One half of one half of a pair,
she stands calm yet morose…

The first time my mom brought the masks I knew I wanted to take a picture of them, I tried the pair and then just the one… it was something magical the way the light strayed on contact with her… something that forced you to hold your eyes and listen…

Silhouette & the Sun…

Hanuman

The first of my trips just after college was a fun filled trip to Bandipur. On our return journey we stopped by the beautiful Gopalaswamy Betta.

This photo of the silhouette of a Hanuman statue against the sun was one of the few photos that looked good both in the camera and on screen… This photo also was taken on my first mobile phone, a handy K750i :)

We traveled from Bangalore via the Mysore road and the Hunsur road towards our destination. The recent rains had made the landscape lush green and the drive was an absolute pleasure. We were a large group about 23 people(colleagues had brought their families along too) and that meant a train of 6 cars headed together.
