Life Update…

1:37 pm

I just realized that I havent written much about my life off late. So here is a little course correction :P

  • Started watching a lot of "That 70’s Show". Remember watching season 1 on tv but then had abruptly stopped.
  • Finished Sophie’s World after like forever.
  • Picked up ‘Pride and Prejudice’, someone I know is a huge fan and I haven’t read much of the classics so guess its a good place to start.
  • Also reading "Dilbert and the Way of the Weasel", had received it as a gift for my bday. Scott Adams is totally hilarious.
  • Met with a road accident a couple of days back. I dont have problems admitting my mistake, especially if its an accident but this time it was totally the other guy’s fault. Bruised my knee pretty bad. Stayed home for the past couple of days.
  • Dont know if its the medication but I have been drowsy most of the time, hardly can concentrate on anything. Lost of pending work and its does not help to know you have the time but cant get your mind to focus.
  • Watched a bunch of movies, seems like the only thing I can do in this state :P
  • Realized that the thing I miss most coz of my immobility is running and exercising :P So badly waiting to get back on my feet :)

A few more special things happened but those deserve a separate post.

A Small Step…

August 29, 2008 11:06 pm

There are two kinds of failures:

  1. People who are all action and no thought.
  2. People who are all thought and no action.

Over the past few weeks I have realized that I am in some respects, very much the latter.

The Spark…

There were a lot of people at the store but when she walked by I had to notice her. She was beautiful in the traditional way beauty was measured but there was something about her that was intriguing.

Fascinating as it seemed, it was a combination of small rare qualities in her that stood out. Its hard to pin point and put into words what it was that made her unique. Couldn’t help but think… maybe it is seeing someone like this that makes poets out of men.

I usually dont like photos of me but once in a while there is one(or two) that I totally love :P
During my last trip to Pondicherry, Satish photographed (and post-processed) these two pics. I of course totally love them :)

Pursuit Of Happiness…

August 20, 2008 7:14 pm

Her: I think the point of life is to run after what is important and not give up until you have it.
Me: But how do you know what is important.
Her: Happiness, of course. Everybody deep down wants to be happy.
Me: But not everybody is happy all the time, are they?
Her: I don’t know.

Evening Of Memories…

August 18, 2008 8:54 pm

Evening Of Theater - TicketIt was the day before the show that the feeling truly hit me. I was standing in the center of the stage and suddenly there was this overwhelming feeling of being drowned, it felt like my lungs were searching for that extra bit of air to save my life. In the midst of all the commotion and the running around, for the first time I knew what all of this meant…
