Beautiful Or Hot?
May 29, 2008 5:46 pmThe girl with the pretty eyes was in the right mood to try and extract information from me… She silently added in the middle of a conversation “Ok! How would you describe a girl… hot or beautiful?”
I tried to be diplomatic “how about both?”… with a grin ofcourse.
Her: No! You have to pick one… hmmm Say - A. How would you describe A
Me: Interesting choice… Why this all of a sudden?
Her: Come on play along and please be frank… I promise its gonna stay between the two of us. I will tell you once u tell me

Music I am Currently Hooked on…
May 28, 2008 1:21 pmJust got the Soundtrack of “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na” and I really loved a couple of songs from it.
Kabhi Kabhi Aditi by Rashid Ali is just an amazing ear-catching and foot tapping number. Most of the promos show this song, clear signs that the producers felt it was the best song in the track (and it most probably is).
Kahin Toh by Rashid Ali & Vasundhara Das is a really sweet smooth number. The lyrics are a winner in this really soothing track,
Tu Bole Main Boloon by A.R Rehman sounded to me like “You say tomato, I say tomato” (a song I heard in the background score of When Harry Met Sally) The song is pretty catchy and the voice of Rehman adds a very nice touch to it.
Jaane Tu Meri Kya Hai by Sukhwinder Singh is hauntingly beautiful. My favorite song of the entire soundtrack. Sukhwinder Singh has been so far this year my favorite singer (Thanks to Dil Haara from Tashan).
All in all a bunch of good songs
Check em out if you are into my sort of music ![]()
Ps: Pappu Cant Dance is a disco number in the soundtrack thats a bit odd, but a friend said that its has a really fun video!

Call Forwarding…
May 27, 2008 11:59 pmShe was looking out at the street and said “Yesterday I called a friend… Oddly another friend of mine picked up the call.” She was looking at me now “I was wondering, what does it tell you about those two friends if you felt happy/sad to hear the other friend’s voice?”
She always comes up with interesting questions… I smiled and replied “What do you think it tell you?”
Her: I don’t know. Deciding whome i like more based on just one random occurrence is unfair on me I think.
Me: Well there you go, it doesn’t necessarily have to say anything.
Her: Why did you say ‘necessarily’? You believe it shows bias, dont you?
Me: Yeah… I think it does. I have always had a few people who I love to speak to. Always tend to have the best conversations with them and always look forward to speaking with them. Obviously if one of them picks up the call, I would be delighted.
She stared at me for a second or two and asked “Who are in the list?”
Me: What is with this morbid fascination with names. People are always falling over each other to ask “who?”. When infact the important thing is the information itself not the participants. People want names, as if that will be of any use, when they would possibly never meet or interact with that person. Wouldnt ’someone’ suffice?
She leaned forward…
She: Am I in the list?
Me: This is like the situation where someone calls up a tv/radio show to dedicate a song. They do their requests and add ‘also I dedicate is song to you’. Now we dont know if the person did it out of courtesy or actually honestly likes the host… If I said “yes you are on the list”. What guarantee do you have that it was a honest answer.
She stared at me with those pretty eyes and slowly smiled…

Reality…
11:18 amIt has been years since I have been hooked to a reality tv show. I loved the first seasons of Survivor(who didn’t?) and Amazing Race, frankly none of the talent shows capture the magic and intrigue that those shows did back in the day.
So when I caught the first few episodes of Roadies 5.0 (yes another “dot ooh”) I thought it was fun. The interviews and the kids trying hard to prove they are better than what they are. The show was not exactly impressive but it seemed to surprise me and I liked that. I ended up watching most of the series and even waiting for the last few episodes!
I know its clichéd to say this but I knew who would win… actually I person I hoped would win, ended up winning. The episodes towards the end were really interesting with the unpredictability quotient at an all time high. There was loads of melodrama, fights and bitching but hey thats what was really fun.
I don’t know why I never wrote about the show before… but now that it is done I felt it deserved that post

Restart…
May 26, 2008 8:09 pmYesterday was by far one of the most beautiful days in the past few months. It probably had a lot to do with the events the evening before (which inspired this). Everything just seemed perfect… I used to have days like that everyday about a year and half ago, was wondering where those days had gone ![]()
All the confusion of weeks seem to just dissolve away and things seem so much clearer now. Guess this is the restart I have been wanting for a while now…

The Greatest Feeling Ever…
10:01 amShe was looking down at the cup placed in front of her. It wasn’t hard to figure out that she was going to ask me something… She looked up at me with those pretty eyes and asked “So what do you think is the greatest feeling you can ever feel?”
I thought for a second and replied “Vindication”… Her expression clearly was asking me to go on…
I continued…
I don’t know what the textbook definition of Vindication is. For me its that feeling you get when you achieve something that nobody believed you could. When people looked at what you were trying and called it impossible and even considered you a fool for doing it. When you belive in yourself so much that you take the positive out of everything and keep moving towards your goal… When you are flying blind and almost totally on instinct, just that feeling in your gut that you are heading where you want to be.
That feeling when you reach your goal… thats Vindication…
She smiled at me and looked down at her cup again…

3 Years…
May 21, 2008 1:34 pmIt has been 3 years since I started blogging… I have changed a lot during that time, met loads of people that have influenced my life… all thanks to that decision 3 years ago.
I know its very hard to imagine who I would have been if I hadn’t been influenced to enter the blogging world… I guess such introspection is basically a waste of time but what I should be asking myself is “why I started blogging?” and “Does it still serve the purpose I started it for?” The answer to that is for me to contemplate and (re)discover. But what I can reveal is that the reasons and inspiration has changed over time… many many times over.
