The Sixth Sense is a 1999 Oscar Nominated Thriller written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The movie struck gold in the box office and is till date one of the best thrillers ever made!
The screenplay of the movie (available here) echoes its class as a top notch thriller. It has the right ingredients of a thriller… the perfect pace, the duality of writing and many other factors. By “duality of writing” I mean the ability of writing something that could mean a plethora of different things based on context of the viewer. In this case its mostly got to do with the perfect balance of what if the viewer knows the ending or not.
Started watching the series Big Bang Theory and its pretty good… Saw the ads a while ago in a movie theater(!) and a few days back a colleague gave me a few episodes.
Some of the theoretical physics is just too good and aptly put in context. The comic timing of the actors is one of the best i have seen in a long time. Considering its just one season(9 episodes) old I recommend you to check it out.
I have been hearing about Twitter for a long time now… Never felt the need to do things in micro when you can do the full thing Anyway thought of giving this a shot and seeing what the craze was about, so went and created an account …
Love is like a butterfly… The more you run after it the more it will try and evade you. But if you dont consciously search for it… In a moment you least expect, it will come to you and make you smile…
Read that(or something to that effect) somewhere recently… forgotten if it was a blog/newspaper/poster
Ps: There is a butterfly floating around the office right now… hence the post
Everybody has their own brand of Philosophy. Untill recently I had no idea where my thoughts fitted in.
Its very important to know which brand(s) of Philosophy you follow… once you know you can even predict what your opinion might be with matters that have never bothered you. And then you can question your own thoughts… bit like standing outside glass doors and watching things work!
There is just too much to take home with you after the movie and its that ability of the movie that truly won hearts. There is so much magic in the subtlety of this movie and its profound thoughts that it just takes your breath away. If you haven't already watched this movie... Please do.
Everything from the script to the acting to the special effects to the background score was awesome. The story is the strong point of the movie, the characters(10 roles) were well thought out, their mutual interaction was written so well into the script and so well executed that at times you wonder if its possible that it was the same actor.
Brilliant movie totally worth a watch.
