Earlier this week I was back on stage in another presentation from MisFit. This time it was a Comedy Presentation… A collection of 5 short plays. It was my first ever comedy in front of decent audience and I was nervous like hell

Its common knowledge among actors that Comedy is far tougher than drama. The dependency on things like expressions and timing is spectacular. Putting it simply, its hard to get away with doing bad comedy as opposed to bad drama Anyway I always felt that comedy was something right up my alley and this performance was a good test

The response was really good and surprised me a bit. Its not everyday that someone walks up to you and calls you a ’superstar’ of the evening or your performance as ‘amazing’ And I was like, what the heck, its not everyday someone compliments me… Let me bask in this for a while

Things did work out well for me despite being really sick and weak… We had a little time to practice, just 2 evenings as opposed to at least 5-10 evenings of practice for my previous performances… but you just forget it all the moment you hear that first laugh from the audience… Its an amazing high, to have your audience laughing and being able to react to that. Anticipating that punch line and feeling it work…

Well that was that, We are planning a proper play in a couple of weeks. Am skeptical if I will be acting in it but I am currently hoping to write a part of the script.

I know this post is a couple of days late but its just been running on my head all the while Firstly India Wont the Twenty20 World Cup on Monday evening and ever since there has been a craze sweeping the nation. I can go on about how people went nuts, Politicians got hungrier, Newspapers became Cricketer’s Photo Galleries and how news channels had reporters smiling all day… But this post is about my few minutes past the glorious event.

I have been running around quiet a lot lately… Actually that is an understatement.

Remember that episode of Dexter’s Laboratory where Dexter’s mind gets over worked(and heated) and it simply shuts down… Well my body just decided to do that on me

The signs have been out for a while actually. I have basically signed up for far too much than I could handle and now its hurting me

Anyway guess I need take a short sabbatical from the things I have been doing and give myself a bit of a rest…

Had been to a close friend’s wedding yesterday. The talking point was not just the wedding but how soon it happened… One Week! That was from the time she met the guy(give or take a day) to yesterday.

It got me wondering… How many of you would have done that??? An arranged marriage, a week after you have met each other! Among my friends it was clearly unanimous only one person said yes! Interestingly it was a girl

So had my first accident on my bike yesterday… Its been 3 weeks after I got it and less than an hour after I got i back from its first service, so it wasnt exactly my day yesterday (Got to admit things got much better towards the evening and went downhill at night again )

Anyway the accident was almost text book style and considering it happened when i was doing 20 kmph, I should thank my stars . The whole affair did reduce a little weight in my pocket

The interesting thing is the same happened to my Fiesta almost a 18 months ago. That was even more painful as someone had hit it when it was parked in front of my house and to add salt to the wounds it was just 5 days after we bought it! In both cases the damage was bad but limited to one area, if it had been a few inches off it could have cost me 5 times more for the repairs!

Crossing my fingers that I wont have to worry about something like that again… Keep telling myself “shit happens“
