Vacation time :)….

Sunday im off to my week long vacation of Darjeeling :). There will be no posts during that time but I promise a truck load of pictures when im back :)

I will be visiting Ganagtok, Darjeeling and a few tourist spots along the way. Im really excited about viewing the “Sunrise over Mt. Kanchenganga” and visiting a Monstary in the mountains.

Last year I had been to Delhi, Shimla, Kulu-Manali and Agra. Those few days were truly amazing and I just know this is going to be as good… Last time I had no digital cam to go nuts taking pics but this time im armed :).

PS: I need tips on managing the data. I will not be carrying the laptop so am considering burning the pics onto cds (I think 512mb card will not be enough :P ).

Flickr is now ‘Flickr Gamma’

Atleast its not another beta :P

Just looked at the new Flickr interface… they have tabs and drop down menus. Looks good but gotta use it to compare it with the old one… The name though is very innovative

Ps: Realized they redid flickr thanks to Ameya.

12 Angry Men – Review

12 Angry Men
Rating *****
(*: least, *****: highest)

They don’t make movies like this anymore.

If my review had to be summed up in one line its that one. This movie is truly brilliant… every thing from an immaculately strong script to powerful performances by the actors.

This movie is about 12 members of a jury… A jury in the final stages of a trail and the only thing remaining for them to do is give their verdict. The murder trail has a 18 year old boy charged with his father’s murder in cold blood. Every single piece of evidence shown in the court indicates that the boy is guilty but one of the jurors is not convinced everything is as clear as it is shown.

The movie is shot almost completely inside a jury room and the roles are well split between the chars without once compremising what they stand for. Henry Fonda is impeccable in portraying the dissenting juror and the rest of the ensemble make this one of the best allround acting movies i hv ever watched.
