Last weekend I had been to Sukhwinder Singh’s concert. When my sister first asked me to join her to the concert I was really excited. For one I really admire the man and his talent is amazing without doubt… But nothing could have prepared me for the extravaganza.
Firstly Sukhwinder Singh is an awesome live performer. He really knows how to stir up the audience and keep them excited. When he is in control he totally takes over and does exactly what he wants on stage which is so much cooler than just singing songs and walking off
Two of the songs he sang in the evening that were a million times cooler than listening on any electronic device were “Beedi” (from Omkara) and “Nasha Hi Nasha Hai”. He has this habit of stopping right in the middle of a song and saying the next few lines like poetry, stressing on the important and imaginative words… Trust me I was floored. He did that repetitively while singing Beedi.
The odd thing is that all the crowd wanted to listen to was “Chaiyya Chaiyya” (from Dil Se). He kept it for the finale and the crowd just went berserk for it
All in all, an evening with great music and showmanship. Not a bad way to spend a saturday evening

I watched the premier show of Evam’s “Doubles, Triples and Quadruples” at Rangashankara last evening. The play was a fun ride combined with lots of laughs, some touching moments and some surprises.
I had personally a memorable and delightful evening thanks to EVAM and the crowd present there… But before I talk about that here are my thoughts about the play.
