Day 1 - Landed in Delhi. Lots of people kept looking at our group at both airports… fair enough its not daily that you see small planes traveling to another city in a big one The city looked much more duller than I had ever seen it… Dont know if its the pollution thats causing it Waited for 3 hrs as the organizers tried to scramble a taxi that could fit all our stuff in it. Stayed overnight at a nice guest house in Gaziabad.

Day 2 - Traveled to Agra and got settled in nicely

Day 3-8 - The event! Lots of things surprised me in these few days. mostly in where we were wrt to the rest of the world. Saying “World” is not an exaggeration as people from all over the world(Germany, France, China, Japan, Australia, America and India) were at the event. Got some priceless advice and even had the opportunity to see some of the best in the field at work!

Day 9-10 - Back to Delhi and then travelled to Shimla. Our driver(to Shimla) was pretty quick and we were there by about early evening Love the feeling of chilly hilly places.

Day 11-12 - We visited Kufri and Narkhanda. There was melting snow at Narkhanda and my colleagues were delighted, I was the only one in the group to have seen snow before. Tried our hand at skiing… Much tougher than it seems, but could do a decent job after about 20 min of falling on my butt
Stayed two nights at the golf course at Naldhera in nice log wood cabins! The sleep that I was getting in this trip was simply awesome… Quiet literally slept like a log of wood

Day 13 - Returned to Delhi and stayed overnight. Visited the gorgeous Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar, Waited 3 hrs for the delayed flight and reached home late at night

I am on a 2 week long trip, will be covering Delhi-Agra-Shimla in the next 2 weeks. The trip is partially business and partially a vacation… My updates might be sporadic, we seem to have wifi at places Hoping to get loads of pics

1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?

Where do I start!!! (I will skip all the small ones ) Quit my job(first ever job so yeah it was the first time I did that) and started my very own startup with my friends , Bungee jumped! , Read a couple of books I have been waiting for years to read and Wrote something important to me

2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Yep I did and will do again

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope but think a few friends might become mommies next year

4. Did anyone close to you die?

5. What countries did you visit?
nope but hope to this year

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Lot more traveling(It died down towards the end of 2007), maybe being a bit more social(relationships?), lot more sports

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory?
28th June 23:45 pm(give or take 2 minutes)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Drone keeping in mind my future… The Sculptor’s Statue keeping in mind my past

9. What was your biggest failure?
Failure… hmmm I believe in “What does not kill you only makes you stronger…” so cant term anything a ‘failure’ but yes have had a few tough lessons

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
The regular cold, throat infection and viral fever

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My Bike and my Laptop!!!! There is one more planned purchase before Jan 1st (will talk about that later)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Indian Cricket team in the T20 World Cup!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Nope, nothing to fit this category

14. Where did most of your money go?
Bike and Laptop

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Start of the F1 championship (bit of a melodrama this year) Waiting for my Bike and laptop to be delivered and most definitely the Final of the T20 world championships!

Saawariya… The closest thing to a good musical

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. Happier or sadder?
Sadder actually but I know its just the calm before the storm.

ii. Thinner or fatter?
The same… still underweight

iii. Richer or poorer?
Probably poorer Well I did buy a couple of large gifts for myself

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
More reading and writing… My personal journal was very neglected this year and I wrote just one story this year and wrote 2 plays(short ones)

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Obsessing over irrelevant incidents… Its something I just need to get out of my system

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Spent it at Work… But I will be making up for it big time in a few months time

21. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Well I believed I did… am too confused to be sure Fall out of love yep once

None

Psych, totally am in love with the lightness of the show I continued watching all my favorite shows from previous years though.

lol nope… become fonder of a few ppl though

That I can listen to Kishore Kumar and Mohd. Rafi all day and everyday!!!

A Surprise. Its been a long time since someone did something/bought something for me that truly surprised me.

SRK I think, was very impressed with the way he handled things around him. Vijay Mallya too(for Force India ofcourse)

Karnataka’s politics… thought it was like a bad play

All my friends that decided to live on the other side of the globe

Anyway the ‘new job’ as it maybe called is the thing I have always wanted to do. Over the past few months I spent a large amount of time getting used to the changes in my life and finally now I can look at settling down in a rhythm that I feel is comfortable.

I have been always blessed to have great peers at the workplace… Applibase was beautiful experience and now “Drone” is my humble home, with colleagues that are literally closer to family. I always expected to have a close bond with my friends at Drone but never thought we would get so close…

To top it off lately I have been taking “vacations to work”… I know most people take vacations from work but, well we are a little different I will soon hopefully be returning home only on weekends. Right now i balance it off with a 3-4 ratio (3 days at work and 4 days returning to home). Fortunately the office is far away from the hustle and bustle of Bangalore and that is truly a blessing.

Anyway here are a couple of photos of the place… Will post more sometime in the future…
