Kimi pulls one back…
History repeats itself… that was more then obvious last weekend at Hungary. Two unique things repeated on Sunday…
Firstly Kimi took the win and Alonso finished with 0 pts… A week back it was the exact opposite. This had happened at the Nurbergring and Canada if u remember… Kimi blew his tyre on the final lap trying to hold back a rampant Alonso… a week later Alonso, Fici and Montoya handed Kimi the victory after each leading the race in a dominating fashion for a long time.
Secondly, the resurgence of Ferrari… It happened in San Marino when MSc class was held back by a defending Alonso. The Scarlet car was magical that weekend and looked similar this weekend. I plead guilty for assuming that Ferrari was back then… no such mistakes this time. I am impressed by the car but won’t put my money on the scarlet cars untill a little more consitency.
As for Renault, the strength that was their consistency took a sweet beating on sunday. Alonso after the race said that the car was a match for Montoya save the mistake in qualification and after that initial hit by Ralf… in a track with almost no overtaking place all he could fight for was Turkey’s qualification slot.
Ralf and Trulli made it the most perfect weekend for Toyota and the Williams finished in the points which is gr8 for them as of now.
Six races to go… 26 Points… 12 Points… cant wait for Turkey
