Poseidon - Review

Wolfgang Petersen’s remake of The Poseidon Adventure is decent at best. The movie’s special effects and ‘we can die any second’ thrill keeps the audience in their seats but that does not make this movie a classic.

The movie starts as we are quickly pushed(trust me) into the lives of few of the main chars. The story then quickly gets to the point ie a ship upside down. Now we watch as a group of people try to escape from the bottom of the ship climbing upwards!!! You think that should be amazingly fun but fankly its not…

The only nice thing on screen was Emmy Rossum, I mean she is unbelieveably pretty on screen and made the movie worthwile. Josh Lucas produces a mature performance compared to Stealth and leaving that there is nothing worth taking back from this movie. For god sake this guy made Troy and I expected so much from this one.

My advice, save your money… you can use it on some other movie that is worth it.
