Penned Magic…
The most ignored of the 3 indians that won the Oscar yesterday has to be Gulzar saab. Amoung all the celebration apparently a lot of people missed noticing that he had won the award for penning the lyrics of “Jai Ho!”, mostly because he did not pick up the award in person.
It turns out that one of my all time favorite songs is his favorite too 
Ae Ajnabee from Dil Se is a beautifully written song but what added to the charm of the song was how it was inserted into the movie. It is actually played on the radio by Shah Rukh’s character(I forget the name) who is trying to reach out to Manisha.
Its hard to fall in love with a song that has verses like:
